Summer Trip to Moscow 2011

Are you up for a summer with a difference?  How about joining us for an ‘English Camp’ near Moscow where nearly two hundred young people of all ages and backgrounds come to a camp to learn English, have fun and also hear the Good News about Jesus.

The children and young people come from churches, an orphanage, a Government social centre and may also come through the website – a real mixture!  And one thing is certain – they have lots of crazy fun and games at the camp, while learning English!! They play sport, take part in drama, games and competitions.  They would love to meet some English people who can join in the programme and help them with their accents – so take the plunge and join us in 2011. 

Here is a chance to meet new friends, sharing in teaching and worship as you work alongside other Christians linked with Moscow Youth for Christ and churches from the city!  You could learn some Russian as an added extra if you don’t know any already….don’t worry, there are also translators at hand who speak very good English!

You would be joining a team of around 6-8 people from the UK and there will be leaders who have had experience of working in mission teams, including overseas.  After preparation time, you will be joining a Russian team, helping in the camp activities.  The camp has been going for eight years now.. and many young people go away with changed lives having met Jesus for the first time.

There will also be time for some sightseeing around Moscow, which is full of amazing sights including Red Square, the Kremlin and beautiful museums and churches.  Not many of the world’s underground railways can claim to be a tourist attraction – but it is in Moscow!
