As part of YFCone this year you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in film and media whilst delivering the mission of Youth for Christ.

Media Training

In addition to general yfcone training, you will receive intensive training in the 4 key areas of film making and media.  This will include Camera work, Lighting, Video editing and Sound.  Training will be delivered by experts in the business who have partnered with Youth for Christ.

We are expecting people to be applying for this team to have some creative and technical experience whether in editing, production, graphics, sound.  However comprehensive training will be given on how to use industry stand tools.  1 years driving is desirable.

Placement

The team will spend some time on the road delivering mission using video techniques in schools and Young Offenders Institutions engaging young people by making films and sharing faith.  You will also create resources for yfcone teams and other areas of Youth for Christ.  The team will have a base where they can work from and can call home, here you will be involved in some youthwork in addition to the film work.  On occasions you will be used for high profile YFC events and festivals.  We anticipate that the team will consist of 3-4 people.

This is an ideal opportunity for people looking to go to college or those who have just completed media training.  It will give you the chance to put your skills to the test and develop your own show reels for a future career in the business.
