yfcone  training

yfcone training equips, empowers and releases YOU to serve God more effectively. We are passionate about unearthing the gifts that God has given you and supporting you to bring about change. We are committed to YOU and to helping you to be all that God made you to be.

So, here’s how it works:

Not for the faint-hearted, yfcone starts with a month of intensive training. Expect in-depth biblical and personal reflection from skilled individuals, alongside expert coaching specific to your role in the team.

You are then unleashed to experience unlimited ‘on-the-job’ training, receiving ongoing support from both high quality local staff and national team leaders.

All of this is punctuated by regular nation-wide events, missions, conferences and retreats. These provide yfcone time to reflect, celebrate, grow and translate training into action.

yfcone  locations

yfcone work closely with local YFC centres all around Britain. You will be placed in a larger team in local centres dedicated to mission and evangelism. Whilst we do not allocate you to a specific location until the beginning of the year, we will place your mission team in a centre which will benefit most from the gifts you bring.

practical arrangments 

Some teams, particularly sports and creative arts, spend a significant time travelling around locations aiding the yfcone objectives.

Your accommodation and food is included in the cost (see individual project details), however you will require some additional pocket money(!). We do not want finance to be a barrier to you and we will make every effort to help you raise your personal support.

All offers for volunteer positions are subject to references and a Criminal Records Bureau check.

All positions require participation in an interview process. Creative Arts teams’ interviews include an audition.

short term options 

For the first time, Youth for Christ now offer a new flexible approach to mission training. Whilst we encourage people to undertake the whole year, we recognise that for some that is an impossibility. If you are interested in a more flexible approach of 3 or 6 month options please indicate that clearly on your application form.
