ETC (Evangelism Training Conference)

yfc one commences with a fast-moving, challenging two week training programme called the Evangelism Training Conference (ETC). This is for all the yfc one volunteers. It is the biggest event in the yfc one training calender and it is here that you will get to know your team, yfc one staff, and the vision and ethos of YFC. This training will equip you to carry out the work that you will be doing at your placement as well as set the foundations for your discipleship journey this year.

ETC Essential Info:

When: Two weeks at the start of September
Where: Previously held at Cliff  College, Derbyshire
Speakers: A whole host of great speakers from YFC and beyond.

Check out what the volunteers' timetable looked like from ETC in 2010. The training sessions at ETC were split into three categories as well as social events and spiritual. The key is as follows:

• Dark Pink (Theological) - Covers all the essential foundations of our faith, with a focus on the role of Jesus in the Bible, before, during and after He came to Earth.
• Yellow (Personal) - Concentrates on your story and experiences; your relationship with God and personal development.
• Green (Practical) - Focuses on the practical work that you will be involved in this year such as child protection, youth work, sharing the gospel in today's culture.
• Purple (Social) - Free time and social activities
• Orange (Spiritual) - Times of worship, church or personal spiritual reflection.
